Barcelona offered Philippe Coutinho to Manchester City this summer, but Pep Guardiola rejected the chance to sign the Brazilian.
Coutinho has since moved out on loan to Bayern Munich as he looks to rediscover the form he showed while at Liverpool.
As was first reported by Tv3 and confirmed by MARCA, Guardiola wasn’t interested in signing the playmaker when he was offered the chance to do so during the transfer window.
Manchester City weren’t the only club to be offered Coutinho this summer, with Barcelona trying desperately to offload him to several teams.
Bayern have paid 8.5 million euros to take Coutinho on loan for a year and have the option to buy him for 120 million euros at the end of the season.
