Re: PACESETTERS SUPPOSED ENDORSEMENT OF THE APC’s GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE
WE, the genuine students of LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY totally rejects the endorsement recently conferred on Mr Sanwoolu Babajide and his running mate Mr Hamzat Olawale by a supposed pressure group named LASUPACESETTERS. Not only is the name absurd, it is also new to the ears of many bonafide, matric carrying students.
LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY is an institution of the state and not for nor owned by a political party and we will not allow some opportunist use the name of our own PRIDE as a begging tool from political aspirants. We also noticed that the cordinator of the group is an ex-student who has graduated some sessions ago but seeks ‘relevancies’ amongst the rank and file of the students’ populace. We urge all political parties to beware of this extortionists as they parade themselves as student leaders or comrades.
In LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION, we know our leaders, we know those we elected to represent us, the President of the union as at this moment remains Comrade Olalere Samuel aka SAMGRIN and the Speaker of the legislative arm of the union is Rt hon Oluwanisola Ridwan aka ARTY. At this time, all we are concerned about is the quick resumption and suspension of the ongoing strike not some camouflaged endorsement to rob off political aspirants.We also challenge the leadership of the said group to publish the names of its members as its said “our strength lies in our numbers”LASU is building a new name and no political robber will be allowed to rub the name in the mud.we are LASU we are PROUDCONCERNED LASUITES
