LPYM PASSES A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON RT. HON MUDASHIRU OBASA
The Leadership of Lagos Protective Youth Movement on Wednesday 3rd of June 2020 passed a vote of confidence on Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly to basically counteract the purported averments of SAHARA REPORTER on the basis of financial discrepancies in the state house of assembly. Report gathered that the decision of the movement to pass a vote of confidence was unequivocal to the good works and achievements of the speaker in the house so far.
LPYM in her press release issued on the 3rd of June, 2020 by her Public Relations Officer, Comr. Olukoya Temitayo Victor stated that the decision was unanimously reached, considering the achievement of Obasa led parliament so far and the movement’s quest to contribute their quota to the swift development of the house and the state at large. – “Maintaining the leadership of the house has done a good job aiding the implementation of the THEMES agenda of the state governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu through a development oriented bills enactment, majoring on Security Reformation, Job Creation, Health Service improvement to mention a few”. He added.
While addressing our correspondent in an interview, Mr. Fagbodun Oluwadamilare, the Convener of LYPM, stresses position that the 9th Lagos State Assembly has brought dividends of government to the people via an assiduous effort to create a niche for Lagosian to be frontier in the process of making law and be well represented. “Lagos State House of Assembly is the only House in Nigeria presently operating a legislative autonomy, Fagbohun Oluwadamilare told our correspondent.
Mr. Fagbohun in his closing remark eulogized the Speaker for his astuteness and his proficiency after which he expressed his discountenance on the move to impeach a goal driven speaker who expend good years of his life simultaneously serving Lagosian and humanity in various capacity. “To impeach a Speaker who has never made the New legislators in the house feel they were neophytes is to destabilize a growing legislatives and to conspire against Obasa is to shatter Lagosians hope of a better legislation” He said in his closure of an interview with the our correspondent.
